Photo friend, Judy Olson, and I seized the day at Montezuma Wildlife Refuge west of Syracuse (NY) today.
We were graced by ...
... hundreds of carp fighting their way from the Seneca Canal into the main pond.
... babies on parade.
... babies in hiding.
... a statuesque heron.
... a heron in flight.
... and a lone egret.
It was a beautiful pre-summer day.

It was beautiful! You got a nice shot of the heron in flight.
Thanks. Can't do much with it though. Poor quality!
I had a great time. Check out Beaver Lake near Baldwinsville or Fiver Rivers near Albany for another outing adventure!
Five Rivers always has something going on but I've never looked it up. Sounds like a good place for turtles! I am spending today with my daughter (YAY!)
Lovely, lovely, lovely. You two never disappoint!
